I have walked by Cafe 369 on so many occasions and finally gave into the signboards that advertising an all-too-enticing homemade soft serve ice cream. I will admit that I was pretty disappointed by the portion of ice cream I got for 350 JPY + tax, but I guess it ended up being just the right amount for this particular occasion. The ice cream was sweet and slightly tangy (almost like a plain frozen yogurt with a hint of vanilla) and the cone was more similar to a freshly baked sugar cookie than your typical cone. It was a nice small snack in the midst of the summer heat here in Kagoshima. This cafe is a nice pit stop if you’re roaming around Tenmonkan and would like an alternative to Starbucks, Tully’s or one of those other chain places. Also, it looked like the other customers around the cafe were thoroughly enjoying the food and cakes they’d order so you have that option too.
